The electric circuit connected to the piezoelectric transducer is of major importance for the energy harvesting efficiency of the electromechanical system. The circuit includes active and passive elements, which contribute to achieving resonance of the coupled electromechanical system by means of proper tuning.

In the Control Systems Lab of the NTUA tests are performed in order to experimentally validate the various circuit design alternatives for harvesting vibration energy. Our development approach within the project is primarily based on experimental-functional verification, whereas numerical investigation of the various subsystems runs in parallel to the tests.
